The Bucknell AI and Cognitive Science (BACS) Lab is seeking a full-time Research Assistant for an NSF-funded "Human-AI collaboration" project. The successful candidate will work closely with Dr. Christopher Dancy in the Computer Science Department. This benefits eligible position is a one year appointment and the expected start date for the position is in May-2020.

Job Duties:
Primary responsibilities for the position include, but may not be limited to:
+ Study participant recruitment and testing
+ Management & analysis of those data collected
+ Development of AI agents that will operate within artificial (likely Minecraft) environments
+ Development of Cognitive Agents/Models that simulate human-behavior in those environments
+ Work on related research reports and presenting results from those studies
+ Help to supervise undergraduate research assistants during the summer and academic year

Minimum Qualifications:
+ A Bachelor's degree in CS, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Neuroscience, Information Sciences, or other related fields
+ Experience in programming
+ A demonstrated interest in learning and applying theory in Cognitive Science

Preferred Qualifications:
+ Good organizational, interpersonal , and communication skills
+ Experience programming in Python
+ Experience with theories of human behavior and/or psychology
+ Prior research experience
+ Experience with software repositories (e.g., git)
+ Experience (or interest in) data analysis

The Community
