Bucknell Athletics is seeking a Director of Creative Services & Multimedia. The Director will be an experienced and innovative content creator responsible for producing original features that will showcase Bison student-athletes and teams while enhancing the Department’s overall brand identity on a variety of media platforms. 

While the primary focus of the position will center on developing exciting and informative video features, the Director will also be skilled in the areas of social media, graphic design, and photography.

The position will support the Divisions initiatives in fundraising, marketing and promotions, ticket sales, corporate sales, and alumni relations.

This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt, benefits eligible position. All Athletics staff members are expected to contribute to Bucknell's commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Job Duties:
-In collaboration with the creative services team, formulate Bucknell Athletics’ creative strategy for visual brand identity.
-Maintain branding guidelines to ensure optimal value of Bucknell Athletics and Bucknell University.
-Serve as the lead content manager on all in-house creative and information-based digital productions, including direct oversight of multimedia and creative video for a variety of platforms, including social media, website, facility displays, and other special projects.
-Storyboard, light, film, edit, and score original creative and informative content for Bucknell Athletics.
-Produce and edit long form productions.
-Perform game day duties for all sports, but primarily focused on football, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball.
-Create multimedia projects to include: team and player highlight videos, intro videos, public service announcements, event promotion and coverage, student-athlete and coach features, and quick hits.
-Coordinate with Learfield Sports on projects related to corporate partnership fulfillment.
-Assemble studio sets, operate cameras, arrange video stock, audio or lighting equipment to be used on all shoot locations.
-Organize efficient archives for game action, b-roll, and other video files.
-Oversee creative strategy, student positions, and outside vendors used to create content and deliverables.
-Provide support to the fundraising and development office for gift proposals, donor recognition and stewardship, as well as other Athletic support units in efforts to improve student-athlete wellbeing.
-Proactively contribute to the recruitment of prospective student-athletes through visual materials, such as digital presentations, official visits, and creative technology.
-Assists in creative aspects of the department’s promotional, marketing, and revenue generating initiatives, such as posters, schedule cards, and ticket applications.

Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree
-Two (2) years of experience in creative services, marketing, public relations, communications, brand management, or a related professional area
-Self-motivated with a high degree of personal initiative
-Ability to independently take on tasks from inception to implementation
-Ability to work effectively and diplomatically with all internal and external constituents
-Strong organizational and time management skills
-Ability to anticipate needs and establish priorities

Preferred Qualifications:
-Three (3) or more years of related experience
-Prior experience in creative services within a collegiate or professional athletics organization

The Community

Lewisburg (pop. 5,700) is located in central Pennsylvania and features beautiful Victorian homes, the restored art deco Campus Theatre (owned by the University), a variety of restaurants, shops and boutiques, and the Barnes & Noble at Bucknell University Bookstore. It is the seat of Union County, which has about 44,000 residents.

The city of Williamsport is about a 30-minute drive from campus, and Penn State University’s main campus is about an hour away, as is Harrisburg, Pennsylvania’s state capital. Bucknell is within a three-hour drive of New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

The cost of living is low compared to that of major U.S. cities and suburbs.
