The division of Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Records and Gift Processing Assistant. The Assistant works in the Advancement Services office that provides the infrastructure for DAR including database management, reporting, gift and biographical records management, and online and technical solutions. As part of this team, this person will be responsible for acquiring and maintaining a thorough procedural knowledge of gift and biographic data entry in the advancement database. All DAR staff members are expected to contribute to Bucknell’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Essential Functions:
* Revenue Data Functions
- Processes all gifts made to the University on a daily basis by entering them in the database in gift batches.
- Analyzes gifts to determine appropriate classification in campaigns, funds, and appeals.
- Prepares daily deposits for all checks, cash, and credit card gifts with appropriate reports.

* Records Management Functions
- Corresponds verbally and electronically with donors.
- Uses online research tools to assist in updating constituents’ biographic profile.
- Maintains the integrity of the data by updating addresses, emails, and other significant information.
- Identifies and reports any data inconsistencies.
- Manages communication preferences for 100,000+ constituents.
- Assists in the production and processing of reports pertaining to gifts and donors as directed.

* RGP Documentation and Communication
- Prepares tax receipts, pledge reminders, and stewardship communications.
- Maintains matching gift policy data for qualifying companies.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
* 2 years of experience in the following:
    - Entering data into an enterprise level database on a daily or weekly basis
    - Following and updating data entry processes and procedures as directed
    - Running reports, uploading/downloading data, preparing and manipulating data files for accurate and orderly presentation of data
* Excellent written and oral communications skills
* A proven, positive customer service record
* Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (including Word and Excel)
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent time management skills
* High level of accuracy in data entry
* Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality

Other Requirements:
This position requires occasional evening and weekend work to support DAR’s signature events including significant blocks of time during the weekend events.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with nonprofit fundraising and records and gifts processing
* Experience with Blackbaud CRM
